Whether you’re living on island or across the globe, we want you to feel as though our Congdon & Coleman team is family. First up, meet Anne Gifford, Broker, Sales and Rentals.
Congdon & Coleman: How long have you been in real estate?
Anne: I started in real estate in March of 1994 with Congdon & Coleman.
C&C: Favorite aspect of the job?
Anne: I truly enjoy meeting and working with all people, whether they are renters, buyers or sellers, and I love looking at homes. I enjoy envisioning all the possibilities properties can become.
C&C: What’s your biggest achievement, either personally or professionally?
Anne: In this order: my 35-year marriage, my two children with their thriving lives, my relationships with my family (seeing as we all work and live on a small island!) and the fact that I still work with a large number of the same clients after 30 years in the same office that I started in.
C&C: Favorite place (beach, restaurant, etc) on Nantucket?
Anne: Everything about this island is my favorite! One of the reasons I returned here to raise my family is I wanted them to experience what I did growing up, and always have this home to return to. It is just a special place.
C&C: What’s something most people don’t know about you?
Anne: Despite my career, I can be quiet and an introvert. And that I’m a sucker for slot machines.
C&C: What is one thing that you cannot live without?
Anne: Vacation with family.
C&C: Favorite destination?
Anne: In my youth it was Tuckernuck Island, where I spent every weekend with my family and friends at our tiny house on the bluff of the north side of the island. But now, I really cannot pick a single destination.
