Nantucket Looms, founded by Bill Euler and Andrew Oates, welcomed its first customers on April 1, 1968. The Looms began as a production weaving workshop that employed islanders year-round but has since expanded into a world-class home furnishings and gift shop featuring hundreds of artists.
The mission of Nantucket Looms, a lifestyle brand, and multi-faceted business, is to share the joy of quality and effortless island living with the world. Since its inception, its handcrafted textiles, carefully picked furniture, and extensive design services have served to introduce many to this casually elegant lifestyle. Nantucket Looms believe that by constantly releasing new collections and partnering with local artists, they will spread the Nantucket way of life to people all over the world.
These exquisite fabrics are handcrafted from start to finish by their talented weavers, with superior craftsmanship and painstaking attention to detail. Every item that comes out of their looms is a careful balancing act between practicality and beauty and is built to last a lifetime.
The range of handwoven fabrics made in the Looms’ second-floor weaving workshop is complemented by a carefully chosen assortment of furniture, clothing, and home accessories, all of which are inspired by the natural beauty and colors found on our beloved island. Any interested party is welcome to stop by the weavers’ studio and have a firsthand look at the intricate weaving process.
